Why go out for hamburger when you have steak at home?

Food & Fashion. Our national drugs. I really don’t know why we are so self referential when we talk about Pachino tomatoes and Gucci shoes. Maybe because they are both superb and because we’ve good points from our side. When I say -our- I mean italian. It’s a matter of fact we are good in some things like cooking and tailoring. And I think there’s a connection between these two things. They regard the pleasant part of life, a part which is considered frivolous, insubstantial and often unreal. Apparentently.

Fashion business moves every single day, millions of euros all over the world. It gives employment, reputation, and connects other collateral departments. Not to mention the event of fashion show and what’s around it. Milano Fashion Week captures twenty millions euros from hotels to restaurants, bar. All in seven days.

Italian cooking is an effort for the national economy. Gastronomic Made in Italy is the symbol of our culture and a recall for turists. Too bad for the counterfeit of our dishes. 2% of italian cheese intake is satisfied by italian Made in Italy imports, all the rest is falsification which causes an important loss to our country, in terms of money, quality control, market placement.

No more Dolce Vita, please.
